Postgraduate law student awarded scholarship set up in tribute to former Kingston University student Niloufar Ebrahim who lost her life on Ukraine International Airlines flight 752

A postgraduate law student has been awarded a Kingston University scholarship set up in memory of Niloufar Ebrahim, one of 176 passengers and crew who lost their lives when a Ukraine International Airlines flight was shot down in Iran three years ago. This year's scholarship recipient is 23-year-old Minahil Zubair from Pakistan, who is completing a Master's in Law to help fulfil her ambition to make women's voices heard in the eyes of legislators in her home country.

Photography students collaborated with The Community Brain to transform an unused space at Tolworth train station into a photography studio to capture portraits celebrating members of local community. The photographs were then displayed on billboards throughout the station.

Kingston University ranked top 10 in country in seven subject areas and among top 60 overall in 2024 Guardian University Guide

Kingston University has been named one of the top 10 institutions in the country in seven subject areas and one of the top 60 institutions nationally in this years' Guardian University Guide. The Guide's publication has seen the University once again ranked second in the United Kingdom and top in London for fashion and textiles. Meanwhile, it has come in at third overall for general nursing, also carrying off the honour of being top in England in this subject area.
