In addition to the life skills I was able to develop in halls, the best thing by far are the people. The range of people you are able to connect with and meet gives you ample opportunity to make friends for life, which I have had the privilege to do.

What to bring when you move into halls

Moving into your student room in halls is exciting – but what should you bring with you when you make your move to university?

Rooms in halls are well equipped so there is no need to pack absolutely everything.

A few things to note for Chancellors specifically – our rooms have induction hobs, so make sure you bring pans that work! Plus the beds are small doubles (rather than singles) so please ensure you have the correct bedding too.

You can pre-order a Student Starter Kit Pack if you want to take the hassle out of buying and transporting bedding, kitchen and bathroom items to uni when it is time to move in – the pack will be delivered directly to your hall of residence.
